Anchorage Town Square

Anchorage Town Square is the center of the city. This is where locals gather to celebrate big events like Independence Day and New Year's Eve. In the summer, people go here to relax and enjoy the flowers and the fountain, while in winter it is filled with illuminated ice sculptures and a huge Christmas tree. There is an amphitheater, and in the summer performances of music and drama take place. On the east side of the park is a whale mural painted by William Wyland.
