1 review of Chester Town Hall

Main square in Chester

This is the main square in Chester. To the left of the façade of this imposing building, you will find the tourist information office and the beautiful Norman Cathedral through the medieval arch. This Gothic-style building with its central tower measuring 49 meters high is not a medieval building. In fact, the historic Chester Town Hall dates back to 1698, but like so many UK buildings, it collapsed in 1862 after a fire. It was then, in the 19th century, when a new building for the city hall was built.
