Bom Jesús Lake

We took one of the many trails on Mount Espinho that climbed to the back of the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, and among the lush forest vegetation, we found this wonderful place - a beautiful lake that you could even take a walk aboard small boats for hire. Around the lake there were several benches and opposite a snack bar and a children's play area (it was closed but I guess in summer it would be busy). Nearby is the statue of Moses (Terreiro de Moses), who initially was on the esplanade facing the sanctuary.
