Candes-Saint-Martin Viewpoint

The viewpoint at Candes-Saint-Martin can be reached by foot, bike or car, being clearly signposted throughout the town, with little signs on all crossings. We were walking, starting from the back of the Collegiate church. The road is quite steep, so that at the end you feel a little tired, but we had no problems, just a bit worn out. Once you reach the viewpoint, there are some information panels about the Loire River area, positioned on the "rock" that serves as the lookout. The River Loire views from the top are spectacular, and you can picnic there, so it's an ideal place to eat your sandwich
