1 review of Channel of Monmouthshire and Brecon

A peaceful cruise in Wales

Good

This is a 56 km long canal that connects the town of Brecon, to the north of Cardiff (Wales) to Newport near the Bristol Channel. The Canal runs through the natural Brecon environment, offering a beautiful ride along the water, its banks lined with trees and wildflowers. You can see mallards, kingfishers, herons, carp ... this is very popular with tourists, particularly in summer. Several companies offer trips down the canal, including Cambrian Cruisers, Beacon Park Boats, Red Line Boats .... and it is also possible to rent boats for individual excursions.
