Perfect place for school age kids to get outside
Cosley Zoo is the perfect place for school age kids to get outside. The zoo contains farm animals as well as animals native to Illinois. There is a small outdoor food stand with ice cream and snacks for sale. Plenty of picnic area if you prefer to bring your own food. Kids can run around in the open field surrounded by the picnic field or move stumps, logs, and pebbles in the fenced off "nature" playground. There is also a sandbox and giant bird nest for imaginative play. Spend an hour here or take your time and spend the afternoon.
