Domingos Antunes de Azebedo Bust

Among the gardens of Plaza of the Republic is the bronze bust representing Dr. Domingos Antunes de Azevedo. According to the plaque on the pedestal where the sculpture stands, this character was a model for farmers, as he was the precursor of chemical fertilizers and mechanized field work.
