Fontanella Cafe

This site was recommended in a guide book I bought in Malta, and to end my visit in Madina, the "silent city," I decided to regain strength in the "Fontanella". It's a cafe and tea shop, but they also have wine. It's affordable and worth a stop. I would like to emphasize two things, it offers unique views of Malta from a comfy, airy terrace (at least when I was there in October 2010), and it serves homemade cakes, which were delicious. They give huge portions, as you can see in the photo. I would definitely go back, especially on a clear day.
