This concert hall was built in 1869 by architect Cusin, on an initiative of Larochelle. The main facade decoration was entrusted to a young, little known then, Auguste Rodin (later well-known for his 'the thinker' and several other works), and there are art students in the district. The two sculptures represent Drama and Comedy, allegories, of a man and a woman.
