Highlands Folk Museum

The Folklore Museum of the Highlands was founded in 1944. You can learn more about the culture and social history of this region of northern Scotland. The tour is up to the visitor, the journey is through the country, through old relocated buildings, which can be viewed freely but there is also a guided area (through a school of the 1930s, a small farm of the decade 1930 and a typical street in the 1700s Highlands ). You can spend hours in these buildings, have a picnic while watching the red squirrels that are in the forest museum, drink in the cafeteria, visit the store .... This visit may take between 4-6 hours.
