    Clean hostel, great location!

    The HI in San Diego is one of the better hostels I've stayed at, primarily because of its location and cleanliness. (I have to emphasize that I am very impressed with how spick and span my room was.) It’s right in the heart of the Gaslamp District, so there is plenty to do, especially for those big on nightlife. (For example, Stingaree [a club] is only a block away!)

    The staff is also pleasantly accommodating (shout out to Vo who was a humongous help).

    Additionally, there is complimentary breakfast and free tea bags and cocoa powder, among other things, available for hostelers. Other amenities include a laundry room, computers, vending machines, game room, and courtyard.
