Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

The Karl-Liebknecht-Straße is a street in what was formerly East Berlin in the district of Mitte. It is named after one of the founders of the German Communist Party, Karl Liebknecht. It forms a great axis of movement and in the middle of the street several trams operate. As this is a great city I recommend you get on a bus or a tram that will take you where you want to go quickly. The road passes by the new market square and the church of Santa Maria, north of the River Spree. At the beginning you can see the DomAquarée aquarium and a mall. Then you pass the TV Tower and Alexanderplatz. The place has not changed much after the fall of the wall.
