La Zubia

La Zubia is another small village belonging to the municipality of Cútar, in the region of Axarquia. It is located on the road leading from Benamargosa to Riogordo, a few meters after the junction that goes up to Comares. The road is paved and is quite good. La Zubia extends on both sides of the road to cross the bridge over the River Caves. It is a quiet area with cottages and farmhouses scattered among olive trees, vines and almond trees. There seem to be many foreign residents who have chosen this lovely village to retire. The distance to the coast is about 35 miles
