Los Chorros Park

This beautiful park in the north of the city is in the foothills of El Ávila. It is crossed by a creek and spectacular waterfalls, which start in Avila National Park. You can see large trees like mahogany, mango, kapok, bucare and soursop, and amazing animals including squirrels, fish, guacharacas and sloths. It has a number of artificial wells, nature trails, a lookout where you can admire the waterfall and an imposing German-style mansion. It is great place to go on walks with the whole family and to enjoy being in contact with nature, and getting away for a bit from city life. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8:30 a.m.
