Impressive

This Nuraghe tower is from 1005 B.C, one of the most famous of the Sardegna. Its excavation began in 1933 and ended six years ago with the discovery of the sacred well. This tower is not defensive but a multi-purpose center and was used for rooms and storage. According to studies it took at least 25 years to build, a lifetime for a person of that time. This Nuraghe preserves the only corridor between towers, with a length of 23 meters long. The Nuraghe people were very advanced in engineering techniques and architecture. Its inhabitants that could not read or write were able to create a system of trenches and pits to drain potential flooding.

Nuraghic palace

The Santu Antine Nuraghic site is essentially a nuraghic palace and one of the most beautiful and well-preserved nuraghic sites on Sardinia. It's located in a rural area that's easy to reach from the highway. It consists of a central tower with the plaster panels found on all proto-Sardinian constructions as well as an exterior wall with three towers.

Most spectacular Nuraghe in Sardinia

This is the most spectacular Nuraghe in Sardinia (for now) and one of the few with the connecting corridors and water wells still intact. There is, though, still much to excavate and discover. The drive there is also pleasant. I’d recommend it to everyone.
