Plaza San Miguel de Allende

The main square of San Miguel de Allende, is perhaps the most important place of the city. This is where people often gather to watch as everything happens. It is the heart of this World Heritage city. Just around the plaza remain the houses where wealthy Spanish people came to live in San Miguel during the colonial area. In one corner of the plaza, you can see the birthplace of Ignacio Allende. He was one of the heroes of National Independence.
