A very nice Welsh castle
If you're looking for Welsh castles to visit, then Powys Castle, in Welshpool, should be top of your list! I went without many expectations, and was handsomely rewarded. The interior is very nicely decorated, but the best part has to be the garden. The castle sits on top of a hill, and the garden extends down the slopes. Landscapers have really played with the idea of height, making the gardens very beautiful. The only problem is the near-scandalous ticket price!
