The Alma de Cuba bar is a bit lost amid the streets of Liverpool and is one of those places you stumble upon only when you're out exploring. In 2008, it was awarded the best restaurant bar in Britain. The truth is that we stumbled upon it quite by chance, walking from the shopping area to the cathedrals. It's surrounded by a lot of old houses and streets which show off the history of the city. It's a recommended place for dinner, a snack, or simply to have a drink in a very special building which was once the Catholic Church of St. Peter.
