Pub 500 is a great place to meet up with friends or for a great escape after a long day. Usually there is live music playing in the evenings and Thursday nights include trivia- bring along a team of players and win a prize if you know more answers than anyone else!
Enjoy the ambiance of the large, renovated bar in the heart of downtown Mankato. The staff is courteous and responsive and while the bloody marys leave something to be desired, their food at happy hour (from 3-6pm AND 9-11pm every work night) is worth nibbling on over a glass of wine and great conversation.
They also have pretty decent lunch specials.
