Public Library

Baroque style building dating from the 17th century. Originally church of the Society of Jesus. Later it had a number of different uses until, in the year 1930, the Public Library of the Universidad Michoacana made it its home. It has more than 22,000 copies dating from the 15th to the 19th century, some of them over 500 years old. In addition there is the old file with volumes containing topics on theology, church history and other religious content.
