Theatre

This corner is full of art and history and is one of the "temples" of lyrics that is most famous and important in Europe. It was built in 1855 by Joseph Poelaert, and one of its greatest features is its versatility, offering large repertoire both in the field and in the operatic symphony. It was instrumental in the revolution of 1830, and you can say that led to the Independence of Belgium. It had operas that represented the conflict and Neapolitan uprising against Spanish occupation, particularly when the area of "sacred love of country", the entire room rose and went out ready to drive the Dutch town.

A great theater to visit

The Theatre Royal de la Monnaie is one of the most famous opera houses in Europe. The first building was built in 1700 and has undergone many transformations. The current facade was built from the plans of the architect Eugène Simonis. To see an opera here, expect to pay at least 10 euros (the cheapest). You won't see much, but you'll enjoy the good acoustics.
