San Agustín Park

This park has a unique history, as it is located where previously stood the Convent of San Sebastian which later became known as St. Augustine. In 1680, an earthquake destroyed most of the Convent Chapel and it was abandoned. San Augustin Park now stands here, a beautiful park with old trees (Estoraques trees, originating from India) and a sculpture in tribute to those killed in the Civil War.
