San Lorenzo Church

Located in the historic center of Maçanet, the Church of San Lorenzo was begun in 1050. It was constructed in stages, until the SVII century sacristy was completed. The pyramidal bell tower is emphasized and the interior is a nave with supporting arch pillars. The San Lorenzo original altarpiece and its image are still there, as are the baptismal font and alabaster imitation of the Virgin of Cabrera. This imposing parish gives strength to the city center and is surrounded by free space, which makes it the center of the square.
