Sanmartiniano Historical Templete (MHN)

It was an adventure to walk the path to Yapeyú, as while walking, we found groups of cows and horses making their way across the road. This fit right in with the picturesque landscape and makes you drive more carefully, especially when it has been raining and is semi-cloudy. We arrived at the entrance arch and headed to the Yapeyú the Historic Temple which is located in a space between the Uruguay River, 6 km from the National Road 14, and park perimeter of a scenic beauty. There is the Temple of neocolonial architectural style, opened in 1939 and it was built to store and protect the remains of the birthplace of General José de San Martín in his early years he lived with his parents, Don Juan de San Martin and Doña Gregoria Matorras.
