Square San Nicolás

The Plaza of San Nicolas is one of the most important tourist sites in the city of Plasencia. Located on the western edge of the old town and close to the medieval bridge of San Lazaro, there are numerous historical buildings and monuments worth visiting here. Within this small square we find the Church of San Nicolás, after which the square gets its name, and the Palace of the Marquis of Mirabel. Two unmissable places to visit in the old area. If you go by the Plaza Mayor you should continue west about 200 meters down the C / de la Rúa Zapatería to find the plaza. If you to it from Plasencia Cathedral, walk down C / de la Blanca for about 150 meters.
