The statue of the famous Viking
This statue of Erik the Viking, is located in the village of John O 'Groats (in the far northeast of Scotland). The statue is located right in the center of town and is completely made of wood. The famous Viking is represented at its original height while wearing a full helmet and holding a shield decorated with a colorful rainbow and a spear. The helmet, with two wings, is reminiscent of the cartoon Asterix and Obelix. If you get this far, you can not miss a visit to Dunned Head.
