Firefighters

This monument, outside Glasgow Central Station, was erected in 2001 in memory of firefighters who lost their lives in Glasgow. The statue took on new meaning in October 2001, when more than 200 Glasgow firefighters gathered at the statue to pay tribute to U.S. firefighters who died in the catastrophe of the Twin Towers on September 11.
