1 review of Newark Bay

Newark Bay (Orkney Islands - 15 Stage)

So far, all over Orkney most people have focused on the main island or Mainland, in the area known as West Mainland. This is the first little place we found that was south of the capital, Kirkwall representing the other side of the island, East Mainland, Burray and South Ronaldsay. Here the landscape changes frequently. You'll be able to see bays and beaches like in these pictures and it's situated in Deerness peninsula, facing another of the islands forming the Orkneys, Copinsay (famous as bird sanctuary). In this bay we found a white sandy beach and crystal clear waters as frost tran. On the presence of the wind situation is common, but that does not put off the locals in the area, they tend to concentrate on the beach.
