Tampa Hydria

1 review of Tampa Hydria

A work of art

Facing the impressive facade of the Hillsborough County building, in the heart of Downtown Tampa (the business district), Tampa Hydria is not strictly a historical monument, more like a work of art. It is a recent (1996) reconstruction of a hydraulic system established by the Greeks in the fifth century BC. Designed by Charles J Fager and Joan Marmappelis, it is an unusual addition to the architecture of the area.
