Woods and Meadows

More or less a third of the Romanian territory is covered by mountains, and more than half of the great mountain range of the Carpathians is found in Romania. That represents 910 kilometres out of a total of 1500 kilometres. It enters the country by the Maramures, followed by the region of Bucovina, and then to the north, they form the Moldavian and wilder areas to make northern Bucharest. Then they move up to form the plateaus and the country's highest peaks (the tallest being Mount Moldoveanu, at 2544 meters tall). Eventually, they shoot out the Danube, forming beautiful cliffs that fall into the water.
