Santa Maria della Vittoria Church

This church is hidden...it's close to the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome but it seems miles away from the hectic sea of tourists and its architectural treasures go somewhat ignored. That's fine with me! It does occasionally attract Dan Brown fans that come to see the Ecstasy of Saint Teresa, a sculpture of Carrara marble that's so perfect it seems to be made out of porcelain. The sculpture is so lively, the figures moving and squirming in a fit of religious ecstasy. You can spend hours enjoying every inch of it!
