The East Burnside Hall

1 review of The East Burnside Hall

Was once a church

Excellent

One of the most colorful buildings in Dollar is the The East Burnside Hall. It's not the main church in the village, but it is definitely the most colorful! But I've learned over years in Scotland that things are not always what they appear to be, and when I looked closer, I saw that it's no longer a church, and is instead used to house meetings and social events, even childcare. I couldn't go inside unfortunately, as I'm sure the interior is very well preserved. When I spoke to the minister of the Church of Scotland, I learned why such a small town has two churches. It seems that it all goes back to when the Catholic Church abandoned Dollar to be absorbed by the Reformist Church.
