Imposin and colossal city

Timgad is a well preserved Roman colonial town, in which the layout and arrangement of the urban planning can be seen in the style of the Roman grid. It is a walled city at the intersection of six paths, with one of the most famous buildings being the Arc de Triomphe or Arch of Trajan, which is formed by three arches flanked by Corinthian columns (thus called the columns as top part, called capital, simulates the shape of the levels). Within the arch there is a theater that's in a very good condition with a capacity of 3,500 spectators, currently being used for theatrical performances. There is also a library, a basilica, four baths (public baths that were widely used in Roman times), a church and a temple dedicated to the god Jupiter.
