Warorot Market

In Chiang Mai there is a place along the Ping River, no more than 5-10 minutes walk from the Night Market, called Markets of Warorot Lamyai Ton. If you want to know the life and idiosyncrasies of this city it is a must for visitors as it is the central market where everything was bought before the emergence of a couple of shopping malls. But even today, not a week passes when any resident of this city, including foreign residents, go and buy something from here. Both markets and the surrounding area are filled with shops offering everything one can imagine. Fresh food, spices, cooked food, clothes, shoes, fabrics, home gadgets, appliances, flowers, lighting, furniture, et, etc, etc.
