An electric atmosphere

The Cubs are an institution in Chicago, especially in the northern, more affluent part of the city (southern neighborhoods tend to favor the city's other baseball team, the White Sox). Around their historic stadium, Wrigley Field, a neighborhood has grown up and is known as Wrigleyville. This area of Chicago has a very yuppie atmosphere, with sophisticated restaurants and bars, but here in Wrigleyville, you're more likely to find burgers and beer. Everything in Wrigleyville revolves around the Cubs and the bars and restaurants all have sports themes. Even the private homes reflect the obsession with baseball, as you can see from the famous roof-top bleachers, where stands have been installed on the roofs of houses around the stadium. Wrigley Field has small, low walls, so these houses have fantastic views of the games! The owners exploit this by selling tickets at affordable houses, and many even offer bar services and private parties.
