We didn´t expect a find dining place when they told us we would eat in Pizza Kokinetta, but the moment we arrived we noticed that it was a creative and original place, one that focused on its decoration with lamps, frames and painted furniture, and with bathrooms adapted for handicapped people, and a menu that gives you the option of recipes of the mountains of Andorra, like pigs feet. It´s a delicacy, like pizza of foie and the duck.
This bar is strangely decorated, lots of color and books everywhere, a fun place to hang out with friends, and they also have board games .... You can eat at any time, there is a menu with toasts, sandwiches, nachos and salads. They also have a cocktail menu. It was good and the prices weren't expensive compared to Spain ....
This is a beautiful restaurant situated at 2000 meters altitude, which must be accessed by the Canillo gondola. It is one of the best restaurants in Grandvalira. Andorran, French and Pyrenees cuisines are fused together and served by young and beautiful people uniformed in black and in a spectacular setting with snow and mountains. It features a cozy fireplace with two sofas where you can sit for dinner, or where you can have a drink after dinner. I recommend having dinner there at night, because the view is prettier.
We walked along the railway by the path of the river, cold, clean, with shades of autumn, the musty smell of wood smoke and coal. All of a sudden we got hungry, and luckily we found the Borda Restaurant. It was a perfect meal, a precious place, wonderful treatment with Josep Pep (l'Hospitalet) that was the culmination of an unforgettable day. Quality at a very good price.
If you are spending the afternoon in Chaldea to relax after a full day of activities in Andorra, a good place to go is Deimos. It is located on the premesis and has views overlooking the spa itself. The menu is not very big but the truth is that it has enough and is no too expensive, so it is an affordable option for those who do not want to complicate life. From there you can see the sound and light show that happens every night in the spa.
The Sangria is an ancient small mountain cabin, hidden between Encamp and Canillo, although now it has been modernized. The restaurant is run by a French couple, so the recipes are French and the dishes are typically mountain dishes. It is a very family friendly, warm and intimate place. The only thing is that I don't understand how a site with such a standard doesn't put tablecloths and napkins on the table. Their strengths are grilled snails, the grilled squid, duck breast with red berries, cheese fondue and dessert, some wonderful crepes with chocolate and orange. Also to repeat the pastry with green asparagus with a delicious sauce, or stuffed foei pate, a shame not get warm bread to accompany it. The grilled rabbit with garlic oil was underdone, the best potatoes, or grilled meat would also be improved. In the middle of the room is a large fireplace where you can see how snails and cooked meats. It's a cozy place, though they could improve on their kindness.
They have a menu every day, holiday and at night also. We also ate from the a la carte menu and one can eat very well, at an affordable price and big portions. The truth is that not only the food is good, but the service is also good, as is a restaurant about 5 or 6 tables you feel very cozy and quiet. I recommend it.
Emo restaurant, culinary gem in the beautiful village of Arinsal in Andorra, and it is part of the grand hotel Palomé. Surrounded by lush and pure nature, its spaces echoes the environment where there is a casual cosmopolitan aesthetic, predominantly decorated in stone and ceramics. Contemplating its beautiful views you can enjoy a cuisine and it's rich textures and flavors that are inspired by recipes from here and there, so that your dishes will make you travel the world's tastiest cuisines such as salmon tataki with vegetables in Unagui sauce, or rack of lamb. This is a restaurant of contrasts, where essentially you will enjoy a romantic stay and you can enjoy nature with style and modernity. Do not miss out on this opportunity.
The formatge house is on the road that crosses the Loire Sant Juliá, the one you use to get into or leave the country to Spain, which can easily be pointed out because there are some very cute cows at the gate. Inside you will see, as the name suggests, cheeses of all kinds. They are arranged by country, Switzerland, Holland, Italy, Spain. For the cheese lover it is a place to go crazy, the aroma when entering and the huge variety. We found if not all of the great majority of SPanish cheeses, Torta del Casar, Manchego, Cabrales ... Qusos foreigners ... Gouda, Provolone, Mozzarella, Gruyere ... Then we found some less traditional specialties from other countries, cheese with cumin (Netherlands), with cayenne, mustard (spicy). It has a section for other products such as olive oil, mustard, pate, mushrooms (chanterelles, boletus, mushrooms.), spices. And there is also a wine cellar stocked also. I think the price is good for what kind of store it is and the products they sell, to give you an idea, 4 small boats ( hotels jam, a little bigger maybe) mustard € 3.9 different types, cheese mustard € 8 ( not very big). Worth a visit and we got something nice for us to take back home.
I don´t know how your food will be, But the service is terrible! You are going to have to judge yourselves. We asked for table for 10: there were 7 adults and 3 children. They were unable to put together a table for so many people, saying that maximum was 8. We were satisfied and suggested putting children at the table next to us, as it was the nearest to us and allowed us to control them as long as it is not disruptive. They did not like that and put the kids farther away. Before sitting the waiter told us that the hamburgers were served on the bottom level of the establishment (my very police mother replied that we came to eat)!! We could not understand why they didn´t want to put the kids table by us so we asked again. This time he accepted, but since then we did not receive any service from any of the servers. It took 20 minutes to put together the table of children a family entered and the deal for them was magnificent ... But we were waiting for 20 minutes and no one bothered to at least ask if we wanted anything to drink. Meanwhile we realized that the cook had nothing better to do but stare into the eyes of the guests ... We decided to leave the restaurant as we were not served and we began to be afraid that the cook would spit in the food, because seeing the big picture ... The fact is that we were getting the jackets and I could hear clearly as they said "OUT, OUT"! Finally leaving the restaurant one of the waiters stared out the window until we left ... I encourage you to give your opinion on everything that I said ... Because I think a fault is forgiven to anyone, but this is too much!!
Estevet Borda restaurant is situated in Andorra la Vella, and has a rustic style, because the original stone walls and wooden beams remain the same. It has a capacity for 250 people and specializes in mountain and Mediterranean cuisine. It also offers home-made cakes and a selection of fine wines. Within its gastronomic specialties are: charcoal grilled duck foie gras \ "mid cuit ", cod with garlic confit and \ "all i oli " gratin, Meats \ "Quality Meats Andorra \ "hunt " Xicotes \ ", " font enciam \ ", " bolets \ "(mushrooms), meat served to " the llosa of pissarra \ ". (In slab of slate). The property features private rooms, air conditioning in their facilities, music and access for people with reduced capabilities.
It's impressive. The food is not great but good. All directed from the kitchen by my friend Toni "pablo zabaleta" an extraordinary guy. And the tables are served by Andre. Every time we go to Andorra it is an obligatory visit to eat there and be with friends.
Whenever I go to Andorra I dine at this restaurant. The owner and the staff who works there treat you like you're at home, they are very helpful, and you can have a good evening with their mood. The food is excellent if you like pasta and they are huge. Actually it has nothing to do with the rest of the chain restaurants. 10!!
Angel La Taberna Belmonte (in Les Escaldes) is a very nice with a lot of wood. Among the dishes the tomato salad with prawns stands out. The salad ventrisca roasted peppers, artichokes sauteed with garlic and crayfish, mussels rock, beans and squid sauteed with onions, mushrooms according to the market, turbot, sea bass, fresh grilled tuna, cannelloni and foie gras and truffle sauce pork feet.
It isocated at the arrival at the station Arcalis, next to the lockers and the first lift, where there is an area with a Pans & Company and a bar called Fast Good, but in Hortell is where a person can eat the best.. It has cuisine from the Andorran mountains, with a daily menu, pastas and pizzas. It has a very nice terrace with barbecue when outside temperatures permit.
From a very young age, I had gone many times to this hotel restaurant and it was authentic and bucolic. Today it is an amusement park with tourists and those in search of activities. Those seeking the old charm, you might want to find another site because here the charm is gone.
The restaurant Borda de L \ 'Avi (La Massana) is on the outskirts of La Massana. There is a large grill in sight and the kitchen is full of tradition and creativity. It offers a variety of dishes that make it one of the most popular restaurants in the area. Its specialties are mountain cuisine, roasts and barbecues. It's in a pleasant natural environment.
