Le Parvis
Although we aren't big fans of champagne because we prefer cider, during our stay in Reims we could not help but places a few shops to find some bottles. The prices were similar, all hovering between 10 euros to 700 euros a bottle, but our favourite place was opposite the cathedral called LE PARVIS, where all the best brands had their own stand decorated exquisitely and lit according to the bottles. You can even enjoy a glass on the terrace, when the weather permits.

Ruinart
(1)
La Maison Ruinart is the oldest house to be found in the French region of Champagne. It was establishmed in the year 1729. Dom Thierry Ruinart (1657-1709) was a contemporary of Louis XIV. He was a monk ve broke the seal of confession and conveyed the procedure used by Dom Perignon of how to make champagne. His nephew, Nicolas Ruinart, is the true founder of the house. The caves are 30 meters deep and they have an area of approximately five miles. During the First World War this place became a refuge for the people of Reims during the bombing which was carried out by the Germans. There was a hospital and two schools here. In order to visit Ruinart you have to arrange the visit in advance and you can choose the champagne to taste. I especially recommend the Dom Ruinart Rosé. The warehouses are closed until late April 2013. It's worth going and enjoying the tour.

Café du Palais
Don't miss it if you're in Reims. A family bar in the Art Deco style, opened in 1930. Today the grandson of the original manager is in charge, a colourful character who will happily chat with you for hours about the various celebrities who have visited the Cafe du Palais: for example, Peter Falk (Columbo), and Raymond Kopa. On sunny days, you can eat on the terrace, which overlooks the courhouse. Don't miss the exquisite foie gras!

Restaurant Au Bureau is a brewery located on the square of the Cathedral of Reims. This property is quite large, and offers a packed menu. The food is nice and affordable, with pleasant and fast service. The location is ideal in that you can eat well and quickly but it is comfortable to stay longer. Ideally located, this brasserie restaurant is full especially at lunchtime.

En Appart'Thé
This tea room in Apart-Thé is really great. This is typically the kind of place that I love. I entered by chance on a Sunday morning for a good breakfast, and I discovered a magical place. Here is a paradise for coffee and tea lovers. As soon as you enter, the subtle scent hits you. Here you can have a small lunch, brunch or a snack (they're often full, so better book). The menu is varied, and the homemade hot chocolate is delicious. The warm atmosphere makes you want to go back as soon as you leave.
