Panzerotti is a type of typical Italian dumpling, which is smaller than cal zone. In Panzerottis Luini's, there is a variety of panzerotti, and you can choose from various fillings and if you want it fried or baked. We tried both and they are very good! It´s cheap and it´s an alternative to pizza taglio. You buy the food to take away, you can´t eat it there. It is one of the most popular places near the Duomo of Milan, go and check it out!
A very unique pizzeria, where the pizza is sliced and is very thick. If you like that type of pizza, you'll be in heaven! It's a nice spot, with small tables, and paper napkins. Perfect for enjoying pizza with friends.
It is the typical classic tourist site, just steps away from the Duomo with a striking and excessive décor, and with very few places nearby to have a refreshment. It's a place where you end up weary from exhaustion. Good and fast service, but recommended only for a coffee or a drink and to relax your weary tourist legs. The pizzas aren´t worth the trouble, and the prices are exorbitant.
The Caffe Martini restaurant is ideal for lunch if you're sightseeing in the Duomo area of Milan. I was really happy with this restaurant, which is close to the Duomo because I did not expect such a meal for the price paid. We ate on the terrace so we could admire the beautiful cathedral while enjoying an absolutely wonderful meal. Two bottles of water, two exquisite pasta dishes, and an enormous and delicious tiramisu for 28 € total, while in the area we were, was not too bad. Good location, great staff, fabulous food for a great price with beautiful views!
This restaurant was right across from my hotel in Milan. It was recommended by the hotel manager, and if someone from a city recommends something to me, I know it will be worth it! And it was.
The Pacific Restaurant offers Chinese food (because all the staff are Chinese) and Italian. Since I am a fan of these two types of food came, it was great for me. Everything was great, in fact, the pizzas were to die for, worthy of a good Italian pizza maker!
We went there a couple of nights to have dinner as it was close to "home". The food was good and it was very cheap! For diinner, you could get a main dish pizza (which were huge) and lemon chicken chop, or fried rice, whatever you want. For lunch menus there are also some very good offers starting from 6.80 € to 8 €, depending on the choice. What happened to us is that went sight-seeing during the daytime so we were not able to take advantage of the lunch menu, but it did not look bad. If you're tired of going for a drink in a normal bar, this is the place for you. The restaurant has walls hung with objects from all over the world, and the extensive cocktail menu has a lot of international options. There are all the usual drinks, but also experimental things - in capsules, in syringes, cocktails with liquid nitrogen, etc. It's tiny, so it's better to get there early or book in advance, but if you have to wait, it's worth it. The prices range from the normal 8/9 € a drink .. up to 2500 € ... (No joke). Ah it is one of the 50 best bars in the world .. I think I've said it all.
A Milanese custom is to start the evening eating an appetizer in one of the many buffet restaurants in town. For 8, 9 or 10 euros you can get a cocktail and a full stomach. This Italian restaurant has a variety of options and is great, but you can find many international restaurants of all cultures and tastes.
Although the décor is not nice, the kitchen here is especially excellent. Not only can you have fish, but imagine a menu with about 80 different dishes - there is something for every taste: crustaceans, fish sauce, roasted lobster, different types of squid sauce, a true seafood festival. The owner is very nice and will recommend an antipasti and help with anything you need to know. If you are able to continue eating after one dish, you would honestly have to be very hungry. Also the prices are very reasonable!
I was very fortunate to go to this restaurant on more than one occasion whilst living in Milan. This is a restaurant located in the Porta Garibaldi FS, with a spacious room (actually it´s two rooms, which in summer becomes 3 when they open up the outside part), very comfortable and nice. The décor is perfect for me for a "serata" as they call it, peaceful, with the candlelight and it´s perfect for dinner, either with friends, family, ... But mostly they host business dinners, executive dinners, etc.. Since some are near major hotels in the city and "Showrooms" of certain major fashion brands, making it a renowned restaurant in the area and always busy (although it isn´t necessary to book a table).
Lets get down to the most important thing, which is the food. They have many typical Italian dishes, from homemade pasta, to pizzas, salads, meat, fish ... and homemade desserts. The house specialty, as it says on it´s own poster, is "Carne e Pesce". The pizzas, quite frankly, are not the best I've had in Milan. The meat, on the other hand, is good: alla Milanese Cottoletta, for example, is very good. As for the fish dishes, I recommend a dish that was a mixture of fried seafood (calamari, shrimp, etc..). Personally, I also loved the the pasta, it´s really good. They are original with their dishes, for example one that I ordered several times was "Paccheri". It´s a pasta somewhere between macaroni and sluice (neither small nor large), stuffed with cod and served with a tomato sauce, olives, ...
I recommend this restaurant if you want to eat well, have very good service and very friendly waiters. The price ranges from 20 € -25 € per person, depending on what you order (I´m not taking into account, for example, if you order a bottle of wine, etc..), but it's worth it. My father-in-law, ve travels to Milan a lot, showed me it and we go there for dinner whenever we can.
Grom is one of the best ice cream shops around Milan and has been open since 2003 in Torino and, due to the quality of the ice cream, more shops have opened around the country and in cities like Tokyo and Paris. The secret of their ice cream is the quality of the ingredients and, of course, there are all kinds of flavors like chocolate, pistachio and chestnut, and a small tub is 3 €.
This is a fantastic hotel with an equally spectacular restaurant that is located 7 km away from the monumental city of Bergamo, and 9 km away from the airport. It's a good place to stay if you have an early flight and it is a great place to eat., if you want to enjoy the food and unique atmosphere. It is an old country estate, with cellar and chapel included in the grounds, which have mixed in with a bold remodeling, and modern decor. The dining rooms are scattered in small rooms, with antique chairs and methacrylate, with lots of color and details. In the chapel there is a private dining room with a long table under a painted dome, it offers a unique atmosphere. This is a four star hotel thats boasts fantastic art features and it has 52 rooms at the hotel. There are also indoor and outdoor pools, tennis court and gardens. The bad part is its proximity to the road, so if you are going to stay there ask for a room not to oriented there.
The Frigerio Restaurant has to be the most happening restaurant in the city. At 2 p.m. on any given Sunday you can see people there eating huge pizzas, big ice cream out of chocolate cups, coffee, and so on. A classic in Lecco with a large terrace on the street from where you can see lots of people walking and being seen in the center of the city. Put on a jacket and order the delicious spaghetti with meat sauce, veal ragout, thin and folded pizzas also very good, salads, desserts gigantic, and quite reasonably priced.
It is highly recommended for many reasons, we ordered a dinner that consisted of Italian cheeses and meats with very good bread, nuts, honey and jam, and Brut, and everything was delicious. The price was of the cheapest during our stay in Italy and Switzerland, and the place was modern, and had a great atmosphere. So if you have the opportunity to visit Bergamo, a city great, do not forget to have dinner here.
Il Fornaio is one of the busiest places in the city! It is incredible! It is a pastry-pizzeria where they have pizzas sold by piece and by weight, and you can eat it standing or on a table (if there is room, which is quite difficult. You can also eat outside but sometimes it´s quite cold, so we chose to eat indoors). Each piece costs more or less 5 €, but the variety is huge and they make pizzas in their oven. They are so good looking from out the window that people throng just to see the pizzas only. And to say they are very good! Delicious, plump and the pieces are square and quite large, so I promise you will not get hungry.
The restaurant Dogana is located very close to the [POI = 519131]Duomo[/ POI], on one of the streets in the area. We stopped there because we were approached by one of the waiters. However, at the same time a waiter from another "rival" restaurant began trying to convince us to go to there. They were even arguing with each other. It was a very bizarre scene, but as it was dinner time and we thought it looked good, we followed the waiter and we ended up having dinner there. The restaurant is quite nice, with an enclosed terrace and quite a small dining room inside. As for the food, it was an Italian restaurant with a variety of pasta and, of course, pizza. We ordered tortellini bolognese and baked lasagna. This, along with a bottle of water and a jug of house wine, came out to 28.50 for both. It seemed reasonable as everything was very good. Yes, the tables were a tad small. It is a good option if you are in the area of [POI = 519131]Duomo[/ POI].
We found this pizzeria purely by chance, wandering Milan's Naviglis. The door was packed with people, which always says a lot about a restaurant. The pizzas were huge and delicious, and the price was great. The waiters were very friendly. I recommend the amazing carbonara pizza! All my friends who've been on my recommendation were delighted. The only problem is that it's a bit far from the Duomo and the centre, so you'll need to figure out how to return by night.
They also have another restaurant in the Corso Sempione in Milan, it is a contemporary restaurant, which contrasts with its situation, as it is in a narrow alley in the medieval village of Bellagio. In addition, one of the few establishments of hospitality that does not close during winter. The mussels are typical, but I will say that fail to be as good as those in Spain, escalope Milanese, pasta, and hake, are some of the dishes they offer. I suggest it more for its atmosphere and modernity, than for their food, even if it is okay.
It is a classic brasserie in this small village on the shores of Lake Como, and where you have to try the "Fish Lake", which is a nice soft fish that is offered in the restaurant. The very cold Moretti beer served was delicious and we had the most delicious spinach filled pasta with cream sauce and cheese (can not remember his name). The waiter was friendly and attentive with serving us. It is an unpretentious place with affordable prices and good service.
