La Manuela Cocina y Copas is in Playa de Las Tres Piedras, a privileged place, the restaurant features a chill out area with tables and has concerts at night. It also has two dining rooms, one with sea views and another Andalusian style bodeguita where you can enjoy tapas. The food is Mediterranean, seafood and 100% Andalusian.
With over 40 years experience in the restaurant world Bar Casa Juan Restaurant is a benchmark in fine dining. Of note is the famous casserole of monkfish, cod with garlic, poultry clams, shrimp and prawns, cuttlefish eggs, the best Iberian grills and the best veal of Galicia, there are also magnificent desserts like cheesecake with peach, bacon from heaven with nougat, muscat pudding with nuts, tiramisu, etc. For all this and more, I recommend you to visit Bar Casa Juan Restaurant.
This restaurant is on the beach near Chipiona lighthouse. It has a large terrace open during the summer and at high tide you can almost touch the waves. The specialty is local fish and corral.
Restaurants in Chipiona
If you have decided to spend a few days in the quiet town of Chipiona I recommend a restaurant that was renovated in recent years. The Restaurant "Quino" has always been dedicated to the same cuisine since it opened. Its specialty is everything that comes from the sea. Actually everything is very fresh and it shows in the quality of the products. Despite not being a downtown restaurant it is always crowded. The cuttlefish, dogfish, tuna stewed with onions and other meat dishes are authentic delicacies. From the church of the Virgin of Regla keep its avenue and you stray to Avenida de Huelva, find the statue of ángel Nebreda then follow this down to this nice restaurant. Do not miss it, you will like it.
Right next to the restaurant Café Quino is Memi Cafe. It is no coincidence that they are together as both businesses belong to the same family and have been in Chipiona many years. This cafe, like many others in the south, allows you to take it easy and enjoy breakfast with old-fashioned accessories. Jars of butter and jam for toast or croissants, etc. You can enjoy an outdoor terrace where you can relax with a paper and have breakfast before going to the beach, run or go sightseeing. At night it is a great place to take a quiet smoothie, ice cream, fruit juice or one of their cakes/pies - you won't get bored with its varied menu. One of the things that you can do here is to relax with friends, chat and have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. If you prefer this type of environment rather than the center cafes and ice cream shops where there is more traffic noise and people then "Memi" is your place.
The restaurant "El Aleman" is on the corner of Avenida de Sevilla and Avenida de Jerez. A place to enjoy grilled meats, specialty dishes, typical fish and other varieties. The place is cozy with a wood deck terrace for summer evenings and a quiet dinner. You can dine for about 15-20 euros. While it is not a fancy restaurant it offers good food at affordable prices in one of the busiest areas of Chipiona. Hours: 12:00 - 17:00 and 20:00 to close. In winter it is open on weekends and in summer every day of the week. It is one of the typical places of this town that has lasted more than 25 years and is fairly well accepted by local people and tourists on vacation.
This part of the coast of Cadiz is full of all kinds of restaurants, when we are here we usually eat at this roadside restaurant that is between Rota and Chipiona, near the area of the Five Stones and Youth Camp. Parking is low and on ground, if you can't park here, the last time we couldn't, you have to leave your vehicle at the side or on a side street. The restaurant name comes from an amphora that appeared when the earth was removed for its foundations. It serves quality home cooking at reasonable prices. Sick of international restaurants? Here can have 2 dishes, drinks, dessert and bread for 9 euros, 2 plates will leave you full. The children's menu is 7 euros. Another thing I like is the deal, you can tell they are a family of converted mayetos. The service is quick, once you've ordered. You can eat inside or on the terrace. With the drink you get a salad, a house gift. First I had paella, menudo, soup, noodles with prawns and several similar dishes. I always ask for an assortment of fried fish for seconds and almost always leave some. I love this place, there are other popular restaurants that fail to create the family atmosphere that exists here. For years we had lunch here, every time we caught the midday close.
One of the best wineries in Chipiona. Specifically this winery has appropriate wines aging in American oak barrels. You can taste white wines, red wines and various kinds of fine muscatel raisins as it has received many awards. You will find this winery if you walk from Santuario de Regla by Avenida de Regla toward the old market. It has a very original Andalusian terrace where you can taste some of the wines accompanied by tapas of ham, sausage, salami, frigate, etc. All very good quality and price. If you go to Chipiona I recommend this place as it is a key point in the cuisine of Cadiz and Andalucia. In turn you can, if you wish, buy small bottles of any the aforementioned varieties to take home. Visit their website and find out all about these wineries, processing, vineyards and everything about this art.
In Plaza de Juan Carlos I, where is there is the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la O, the Chapel of Christ of Mercy and the Town Hall we found this restaurant-bar to enjoy a good meal or tapas. It is in a privileged location with an outdoor terrace surrounded by palm trees and at a strategic point to begin a visit to the city. It has various specialties dishes like stuffed chicken, stuffed potatoes and loin, all accompanied by a beer or some wine. Of course you can enjoy this town's specialty - fresh fish. Definitely a good place to stop and enjoy the charm of the flowery streets of Chipiona.
Here's another one of those typical southern wineries of our land where you can taste the fine classic, chamomile and for all those who have to drink in moderation while taking a tapa. It is just opposite Chipiona Castle on the inside that backs onto Paseo de la Cruz del Mar. A busy street and central location just steps from the beach and the main trading street. A good place to visit at sunset and have your first appetizer of the night. There are many people out on the pedestrianized street so enjoy views of the night and the open sky. This classic winery shares its site with other many others like Bodegas Francisco Lara that have been established in the city and are still an attraction. Unfortunately, I still have much to learn in regard to night shots but these give you an idea.
The restaurant is part of Hotel La Española, by the sea in Chipiona, Cadiz. It offers traditional Andalusian cuisine, based on fresh, local good food that is in season. The menu contains a variety of meat and fish, rice with seafood and paella. A place for family celebrations, events, groups and business lunches.
Chipiona is where you can enjoy tapas, quality, good service and at affordable prices. I especially recommend to ask for the stuffed avocados, they are delicious and to drink - it could not be otherwise than a glass of muscat.
