I didn’t know that it was well known in this area and I came across it by accident, the truth is that my attention was drawn to the attractive menu attached to the door and this was the most tempting thing.
The place is cosy and well cared for, the service friendly and good mannered by a guy from Castellón who was happy to know people from the neighbouring region.
As for the food, a rice stew with big prawns, a varied salad and meat of a fantastic quality.
Regarding the desserts, delicious. Their fame is well deserved,a place to return to.
We were looking for an appetizing place in Torla for a drink and we stumbled upon this small and inviting patio on Rebeco's terrace. The place is very nice, as the stone walls keeps the place cool in summer and despite having small terrace tables, they are separated, offering a moment of intimacy accompanied by a wine or a beer and a tapa tastes heavenly after a good walk around the area.
The Hotel - Restaurant Frauca House is located in the Ara River Valley. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a rustic style and has capacity for 40 guests. The home cooked dishes are traditional but there are also some dishes for the most demanding and sophisticated palates. Frauca House also has an extensive list of local and national wines.
We ate from the dinner menu costing 15 Euros per head. Starters included green beans with pasta, salad or soup followed by sirloin steak, meatballs, chicken or trout. Montesierra wine and water are served. The steak tasted wonderful. The desserts are simple - seasonal fruit, ice cream and cheese. Recommended for dinner or lunch. They also serve tapas in the bar.
