This is considered the most beautiful cathedral in England's smallest city. We loved this place, located between the south-west of England and London. It's a small town full of little places to explore, such as the cathedral or the oldest street in Europe which is here. A highly recommended stop if travelling in the area.
The magnificent Wells Cathedral has several pieces worth seeing, among them the second oldest clock in the world. Built in 1382, the clock has a peculiar 24-hour dial, and rings every quarter of an hour. What makes it unique is the fact that its design represents the immobile earth at the center of the solar system, as Aristotle and Ptolemy believed. Be sure to check it out, and try to visit it when it's going to ring, so you can see the little model knights striking the quarter!
