For more than a decade, Laval shines thanks to a completely new show that is made to celebrate the coming New Year. The city is covered in colorful lights. They light up all public buildings and squares to give a different feeling to the area. Each year it is used more for other acts or events throughout the year. This year, Henri Rousseau, called the "douanier" will have the honor of being exposed to light cannons throughout the city. This draws the attention of thousands of onlookers. A holiday to welcome the new year with all the joy you deserve. A massive fact that draws hundreds of thousands of people who enjoy an outdoor show. A show of fire and light color that fills hearts at Christmas.
The Old Castle Museum of Laval from 1967 is a museum devoted to Naïve art. Laval is the home town of the Rousseau custom, and was created thanks to donations from Jules Lefranc and others who wanted to participate in this important exhibition. The museum has permanent exhibitions and changing ones which can give you different experiences and reasons to continue to visit. There is always something new to see and learn. There is a combination of mixed collections paintings and sculptures of the nineteenth century, as well as decorative archaeological and ethnographic arts of the Creole Caribbean character. This collage makes this museum one of the most attractive thanks to the good state in which their works are preserved.
