If you want to treat yourself while vacationing, I recommend while in Laval you eat at the restaurant Le Bistrot de Paris. This stunning restaurant is one of the most elegant and exquisite in the city. The location is good, between the river and the castle of Laval, makes it the perfect place to eat after visiting the tourist spots. The price is not expensive compared to the place. The menu can cost around 28 € per person, but the restaurant and the food are worth it. You can also choose your entrees separately. The restaurant hall is well decorated with classic furniture. Among the specialties of the restaurant Le Bistrot de Paris are a variety of different fish and meat dishes accompanied by vegetables. We chose the smoked salmon with lemon yogurt, mackerel tartare with citrus and romaine lettuce, shrimp with Thai rice and coconut sauce (curry was also available), roasted duck breast with figs and apples. For me the best was the pork tenderloin with crayfish. The food was very, very good.
This charming restaurant belongs to À la Bonne Auberge Hotel and serves rich food recipes from the Pays de la Loire. This restaurant is arranged with three welcoming rooms. The breakfast room is small and simple with large windows. There is a tea room, while the lounge restaurant serves meals at lunch and dinner. The menu is full of fresh, seasonal products. Also have the option to choose from three types of menus: Logis, La Bonne Auberge and Découverte. In all you can find regional specialties, but preferably the "Découverte" is much better given the variety of dishes served. The restaurant À La Bonne Auberge is a charming place where you can taste the specialties richest Pays de la Loire.

The Campanile restaurant serves contemporary French cuisine inspired by nature. It is within a mile of Laval and is part of the hotel with the same name. The chef, Pierre Gagnaire, is an expert in recreating the subtle flavors and innovative products typical of Pays de la Loire. The products, are used when in season, and it guarantees the freshness of the dishes. The balance of flavors is the common theme in every dish. The possibilities are endless in Campanile restaurant: light cuisine, gourmet, traditional or modern. There is a buffet option for those who are really hungry. If you want to try something really good, I recommend the crunchy vegetables: they are great! Food disappears from the dishes in the blink of an eye. In central Laval, L'Edelweiss restaurant delights tourists who, without knowing it, enjoy the best traditional cuisine in Laval. Taste and flavor come first here. Remembering this is responsible for its delicious menu and decor of the room. In this restaurant you are guaranteed to eat well and try totally different flavors. Sublime is the rose of smoked salmon, the crunchy layer cake or fillet of monkfish. There are different prices menus from 21 €, but I recommend you choose the 36 € and includes a small tasting for 7 guests. Do not disappoint!
L´Aromance restaurant, which at first glance seems like a deli, serves traditional food from the region. It´s located on the corner of one of the central streets of Laval and is confusing for most tourists due to its facade. It was formerly a deli and the owners decided to maintain the old look and just change the food. Among the most outstanding dishes are the tenderloins with different sauces. This place is definitely worth a stop!
The warm atmosphere of the restaurant La Gerbe de Ble is one of its strongest assets, along with its delicious dishes. A tasty selection of cheeses in the lounge will work up your appetite before heading to the intimate restaurant space that is decorated with great elegance in pale colors and creams. The light of the place and the arrangement of furniture makes it very cozy. Between courses, you can enjoy traditional recipes of Pays de la Loire. Fish dishes such as smoked salmon or anguriñas are served with salted white butter. Enjoy an impressive menu full of flavor.
Would you like to eat at a Laval original? For a trip down to the river, you can board the La Marina restaurant barge and navigate the flavors of Pays de la Loire! This unusual restaurant floats inside the typical regional boats. But it is a special boat where you can try delicious pizzas! I do not know if it's the rolling of the waves or the amazing river environment which make them so good! They have crispy crusts and are seasoned with artisan products typical of Pays de la Loire. Traditional regional recipes are improvised on a pizza that taste wonderful! If you love pizzerias, you have to try the restaurant-barge La Marina!
The restaurant La Braise is in a pedestrian street in old Laval. It has plenty of charm to spare, as it is surrounded by half-timbered houses. The rustic style of white walls and wooden beamed ceilings draws attention to the oddly decorated inside. A collection of egg cups, glass, pots, coffee pots, jugs and various kitchen utensils evoke a past full of curiosities. As detailed in the tables are bouquets of fresh flowers, which give a more personal touch to the place. The menu is varied: grilled meats and house specialties, where you can find typical food of the Pays de la Loire as sausages, avocado salad with smoked trout, meringue and rhubarb pie. Quite a feast for the palate!
