Reserva Hluhluwe-Umfolozi

These are two reserves in one. If you want more to do a day of safari you can ask the guide if he will take you around both of the parks, because they will do what you want. They will take you first of all to see the large animals in the park and then the next day, after going back to the areas where you can find the big cats or the lions and leopards, we just did that on 1 day so we did not see lions. It is even more difficult to see leopards, but it is not impossible. It is better to take the jeep safari, as they know where the best places to spot animals are, but be sure to go to where you find the buffalo, elephants, giraffes, rhinos etc. ... the difference between doing it in your car is the price, which costs about $ 10 each, even more for a safari, $ 100 so yes, we visited other parks on our own and saw fewer animals but we did not spend $ 200. This safari, however, is the one that we most enjoyed.
Nature Reserves in Lake St. Lucia
ISimangaliso Wetland Park
(4)
I loved spending my birthday between hippos and crocodiles. This is a typical excursion in the Wetland Park of Greater St. Lucia, north of Durban. The lake is the largest estuary in Africa and the park has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. We got there by car and as we said theowner of the Bed & Breakfast where we stayed and enjoyed our last hours in Africa was very friendly. According to him, the population was closer to Europeans and we were very welcomed. Once there, you can easily hire a boat. I recommend the sunset and that you enjoy the pure nature.
Waterparks in Durban
uShaka Marine World
(2)
Ushaka Marine World is a theme park dedicated to marine life. It is divided into 4 parts: -A very complete water park called Wet 'n Wild. The slides take you to the beach! - The Village Walk shopping area. - Ushaka Kids World: offers activities for children. - Sea World: includes a dolphinarium, several aquariums, seal shows, penguin conservation center and probably his star activity: the shark tank. Here you can see the sharks swimming around you, from the safety of a cage ... A unique experience.

Kwa Muhle Museum
(2)
The Kwa Muhle Museum is located in the centre of Durban, in the smart building where the white South African administration made the decisions based on heavy racial discrimination that characterized the years of Apartheid. It's a very interesting museum for those who want to understand and learn more about racism in South Africa; there are many exhibits and interesting, touching photos that will teach you more about this sad chapter of the country's history. There's also an exhibition dedicated to American segregation, and racism in that country.

Durban
(3)
Arriving in Durban is like arriving in a theme park. You get explanations of routine and not much more. But the people are very friendly and take us back to what was their history, especially the figure of Shaka extolling his great boss, but it is still a park .... nevertheless if you have no other thing to do, go and visit.
Beaches in Durban
Durban Beach
(4)
Durban's beaches are spacious, aren't packed with people (especially if you move away from the centre of town) and usually have good waves for surfing.
