It is not the first time that I have walked into this park and it always surprises me. You must go to this park in Valencia if you ever have the opportunity. It is a new concept of zoo where you integrate the entry in the jungles of Asia, Madagascar, ... where all the animals are in their natural habitat and where visitors feel like part of the environment as a luxury tourist. Not only do they take good care of the facilities, but also for its ambitious plan to repopulate endangered species that breed here, as the park is within a European program of captive breeding. It is an environment that is worth visiting, and a different time of day for different lighting environments and animals with different biorhythms. In summer they also have the night pass where you can see animals asleep at night! Enjoy!
It's a great vantage point from which to see the whole Mediterranean. Only the outer walls and battlements remain, but throughout the year there are festivals and events. If you go through Fuengirola and have time, take a walk inside a piece of history. It's also worth walking by the outside through the pines, or along the promenade with its silhouette cutting the horizon. If you're able to go on a sunny day, go sunbathing in the sun on the Costa del Sol, you'll relax watching the contrast between the blue sky and the sea. Recommended.
Beautiful city, beautiful places and charming. There are places to enjoy a good walk, a good meal or just sit on a terrace in the sun to drink a cold beer or summer wine accompanied by kebabs of fresh sardines. Location and leisure, cultural and bohemia. Essential city to visit, and very clean streets and monuments decorated with flowers. No doubt all due to a very professional management by the City Council. My most sincere congratulations. A beautiful city!
I finally had the pleasure of being at an Andalusian Fair. They celebrated the famous fair of Fuengirola and luckily I was taken to see it. I spent an unforgettable night there with my fellow Minube friends and the Costa del Sol. I can't stress enough the wide variety of booths and clubs. You can't get bored in this place. We ended the party at the rock of the Andalusians live listening to the "rockers embedded"
One day, walking around the beach I saw a corner that I found curios because of its two holes through which water flows, the silence that surrounds it, and because it made me feel at peace. In short, a place of tranquility.
The beach is located between the Boliches Playa de Las Gaviotas and Fuengirola. It is an urban beach with fine dark sand and calm waters, and it also has sports facilities. The beach stretches for approximately 1km is 40meters wide. Surrounding the beach there are restaurants, hotels and a busy promenade, where you can access the beach from.
At the entrance of the beach, in the middle of the path, there is a slightly curious monument: The Monument for the Peseta
Next to the Parque del Castillo Sohail in Fuengirola, they have recently built a footbridge over the River Fuengirola. Its design is very modern, the typical suspension bridge with the central base of concrete and steel braces. The best part is the environment, with the castle on one side and the beach on the other. This bridge was inaugurated last year, linking the seafront with the castle.
The Ejido Castle Beach is before crossing the River Fuengirola, near the Castle of Sohail, and is part of the great Fuengirola Beach. The beach isn't wide, and, like most beaches on the Costa del Sol, there aren't any steep slopes or cliffs. Although there is a large Hotel-Spa next door, the beach never feels full of people because of its large size. The sand is fine and the sea inlet is shallow sea. Since it's an open beach, sunbathing can be annoying on windy days. Being attached to the mouth of the Rio Fuengirola, it's also a good place for fishing in winter. The beach has all the services offered by the city of Fuengirola, with showers, toilets, tide information, and a snack bar where you can have a beer on a beautiful day.
In Fuengirola you can go out for a walk and come back without having had enough time to see each and every one of the many parts of this great city. You'll need good shoes to say that "you visited the city". It's big, nice, neat and clean, a great opportunity to spend a few days.
A park with charm
Spain Park has a surface of 3864 meters squared. It offers facilities for adults and there is children's playground which has slides and swings. It is located in the heart of the city, on the side of the Town Hall Square or Plaza de Spain Fuengirola. What struck me was the variety of species of trees that the park had to offer, such as plums, eucalyptus, ficus, bay of pigs, melias, orange and palm trees of various species: Canary Island date palm or wasnintonia.

The Carmelite church, also known as the "Parish Park", is of modern construction, built about 20 years ago. Its interior is made up of large open area with one main altar, over which hangs an image of Christ Crucified on the side of the Virgen del Carmen and the Tabernacle. On both sides of the church, there are very illustrious and different images of the Venerable Nazarene Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Charity, of the Blessed Christ of Peace and Unity, and the Holy Mary of Love and Loneliness, which are all used in procession during Holy Week.
