If I could think up my perfect hike it would be the one I did this summer in Switzerland to the Bachalpsee lakes. In an idyllic setting surrounded by the Alps and fir forests in an area completely pollution-free are, we reached Grindelwald and then took a cable car to the First station which makes you feel like a bird flying over the valley of Grindelwald with its endless prairies and chocolate houses and the almighty Jungfrau at over 4000 meters high. Once at the First, you can walk along some amazing trails before arriving at the Bachalpsee lakes with the mountains perfectly reflected in them. Marvelous!
