The top 4 attractions in Bend

Skiing in Bend
Mt. Bachelor Ski Area
Mt. Bachelor lies west of Bend, Oregon and is on the eastern edge of the North Cascades. It's got a huge amount of lift-accessible terrain- 3,700 acres! That's an incredible amount of runs, if you ask me. It's got a a wide variety of terrain, making it great for experts and beginners alike. Due to it's location in central Oregon, it's known for it's light, dry snow and long seasons. Bachelor has grown to be one of the largest ski resorts in the U.S, and is a truly amazing spot for skiing and snowboarding. It's a an excellent resort to get miles and miles of different runs, experience great snow, take in the breathtaking mountainous views on the chairlift, and unwind with a drink or food on one of the many lodges. Mt. Bachelor is a huge draw in the pacific northwest; go see for yourself.
Bars in Bend
Worthy Brewing Co.
Worthy Brewing is located east of downtown Bend, Oregon. If you stay in downtown Bend, it's not walkable, but well worth the drive. Worthy is known for their flagship crisp & refreshing IPA, but also feature a diverse selection of brews including a red ale, stout, pale ale, bitter, kolsch, bock, Belgian, and a huge variety of seasonals as well. The restaurant is spacious and open with high ceilings and lots of natural light; a nice contrast with dark and gloomy pubs. The outdoor patio looked lovely for warm weather. Worthy's menu is solid, and features appetizers, great soups and salads, delicious sandwiches, and pizzas cooked in their wood stone oven. We indulged in a pizza with fresh ingredients along with our hoppy beers, and were completely satisfied. Make a stop at Worthy Brewing when you're in Bend!

The Dogwood Cocktail Cabin
The Dogwood is in a small, cozy, and 'lofty' space in downtown Bend. Immediately, you catch on to the funky/quirky vibes it gives off based on the décor, artwork, and dim lighting. The cabin walls bring in the cozy feel, so it’s an interesting mix. It has a huge list of creative and refreshing cocktails. It also features a menu of small, nicely done plates. Have a taco or meatball along with your artisan cocktail while you admire the strange artwork. There is a good happy hour, and on weekends and some weekday nights, DJs spin the music, making the Dogwood cabin a happening spot in Bend!
Hiking in Bend
Shevlin Park Loop
Shevlin Park loop is an easy and beautiful path along Tumalo Creek. It’s located about 3 miles northwest of Bend. The park entrance/parking area comes up on the left off of NW Shevlin Park Road. The path is over 4 miles round trip and intersects with many other paths, including Tumalo Falls. The path is steady, fairly flat, and includes a few footbridges that pass over water. It’s ideal for families, dogs, runners, hikers, bikers, snowshoers, and cross country skiiers. The path wanders from aspen grove to grassy field, over babbling Tumalo Creek and through the silent forest. There are also a few spots for a picnic. This trail is lovely, but does get a bit crowded on weekends if you happen to be looking for solitude. Check out a map before you go, since it does intersect with many other trails. Or hey, just go where your nose leads you!
