Living art - a unique hotel in Adelaide Sth Australia. In this day and age of mass produced media and hyped popular culture, it is seldom that architecture really strikes a chord. Here you arrive at a place truly outside the ordinary. I have seen from the day Thorngrove building commenced 25 years ago, and its journey to Followed international recognition for its unique and extraordinary accommodation. Hotels are Usually pure investment and returns and multi-national Conglomerates. This has Become a haven from the outside world and a destination in its own right, transforming the "bed for a night" into an emotional connection and experience of art in a living space. You will not find a square here, it all Relates to the softness and flow of nature. The presentation is immaculate and the service outstanding. The creator is an inspiration to all who stay, even if just for one night. It is a small hotel with a giant spirit. If I could, I would shout from the rooftops about this amazing place that has still been kept a secret.
This description is about a very special place in the Queensland rainforest. It's just the kind of site that would be perfect for you to go on your honeymoon, for example.
There are about 8 or 9 little cottages built on columns (hard to describe, better to see the photos) in the middle of Daintree Rainforest. On the terrace you can enjoy the experience of being in the jungle, stuck in a bathtub.
Because... I mentioned that there is a tub on the terrace, right? This is thanks to Eco-lodge, for that alone would be worth the stay. But also the site offers relaxation massage packages (hydro and normal), saunas, etc.. Come on, you leave the place again. The downside of it is that fat is not exactly economical to stay here.
The Hotel The Albany Hotel Leisure Inns is situated in the beautiful city of Melbourne and has an excellent location just minutes away from the main attractions and points of interest in the city, such as Federation Square, the Victoria and Prahram markets, and many others. This boutique hotel offers fully equipped accommodation for its guests.
This resort is from the hotel chain Voyages, and is the only accommodation available to the area of Kings Canyon. In fact it is the only place that's hundreds of miles around and as such, covers the entire spectrum of budgets, from a campsite to luxury rooms. As this was our honeymoon, we had just over budget, so we chose the luxury option. The major attraction of these rooms is that jacuzzi overlooking the desert. Simply unbeatable.

A stately mansion south of Barossa Valley. The wines of Southern Australia are the most famous in the country, primarily for having the wine growing areas that export their product (Coonawarra or Barossa and Clare Valleys, for example). This does not mean that there are not small local labels, such as Padthaway, which are worth-while discovering. As interesting as the wine itself, Padthway is perhaps a wonderful mansion (or homestead) which overlooks the vineyards. Apart from accommodation, you can also do wine-tasting or simply have tea with scones (which are cupcakes that are usually eaten in England with tea). Very civilized, as they say there. Padthaway is 400 kilometers south of Adelaide, on the same road A66, connecting it with Keith Naracoorte.
Everything is covered in Marble Lodge. Bed and Breakfasts are often reflections of their owners, and this one certainly is with its unique charm. It is located in the village of Angaston, in the Barossa Valley and as such, is very focused on visits to wineries around. The main house is an elegant building of the early twentieth century, while the rooms are in an additional building. It is very well equipped and we must give recognition to the owner, Shirley, who tries to help guests however she can, by proposing routes, making restaurant reservations and even sometimes giving rides. Now, one thing I have not seen anywhere else in the world is the battery of rules and regulations of the B & B. The rules are written in notes everywhere and some were coming close to ridiculous: For example, you can't kill bugs in the room, because they leave stains on the carpet (you pay) or leave the bed made when you leave because the owner has back problems. The decoration of the rooms and common areas are another story. I'll just say that these old ami dolls are given as respect ;-) I do not think we would return ...
The Comfort Inn is in Moe Moe-Yallourn. The location is ideal as it is in an area of three hectares of parks and gardens and is the perfect place for those seeking tranquility and a relaxed atmosphere away from the noise and large cities. Its rooms are properly equipped and enjoy relaxing views of the park.
Beautiful log cabins on the Great Ocean Road. This is a group of log cabins in Port Campbell, about 15 kilometers from the famous Twelve Apostles. After driving almost non-stop for eight or nine hours, we arrived late at night at our little cabin and the impression was pretty good. The site had a very enjoyable rustic charm and was really well equipped. Upon daylight, however, we discovered that the hut was in the middle of a landscape of idyllic countryside. The truth is that we were looking to just spend the night at a bed & breakfast near the Twelve Apostles and we were in a place where you can spend one week unplugging from the world and return as new.
The Lorne YHA Backpackers Hostel is a pleasant family holiday resort on the coast of Victoria, on the Great Ocean Road. The hostel is in a privileged location between trees and a river on the other side. The beds in the rooms are spacious, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, which is a miracle in the country, both in the kitchen and outside it's a great place that helps socialize. This is definitely one of the hostels that I liked a lot during my stay in Australia. For fans of the birds it's a great place, you can spot cockatoos and the like all the time.
It is a hostel from the YHA network of Hostelling International. The hostel is one of those places that catches your attention for the decor and is in the building adjacent to the train station. It has been converted into sleeping cars, has a small pool, with frames of pictures in the hallway, has a perfect location being only 1 minute from the train station, and all airport buses stop 50 meters away. It has good food and is clean. I spent 4 nights here, and it seems to always be full. When I wanted to reserve for the next 2 nights it was full, so reserve with enough time ahead.
Aussitel Coffs Harbour Backpackers Hostel is one of two hostels in the city. The other one is in the YHA network. The Aussitel is where I stayed. It has a nice pool, it really is a nice little hostel in a good location if you come by train it's only five minutes away from the train station. If you come by bus pick the right one because that station is in a town 3 kilometers away. The hostel offers diving courses and activities. A supermarket 5 minutes walk from the beach and harbor
Gilligan's is the best choice if you are staying in the northern city of Cairns, in the State of Queensland, Australia. If you want to visit the Great Barrier Reef or Diantree rainforest it is best to base yourself in Cairns for a few days and what better place than this hostel-resort which is cheap and only five minutes from downtown. The facilities are very good. You can choose rooms with 4, 6 or 8 beds which are very affordable: about 13 to 18 euros per night. The rooms are ensuite and in general all the facilities are new and well maintained. Other facilities include a nightclub, a swimming pool, bar, restaurant, telephone booths, travel agency, terrace etc. It is the best hostel I've ever stayed in, do not hesitate if you are staying in Cairns.
This is a charming Bed & Breakfast in Kangaroo Island. In the world of the Bed & Breakfasts, you can always find a bit of everything: From pretty crappy accommodation with a lot of charm to homes that have nothing to envy to luxury hotels with comfortable facilities. This B & B in Kangaroo Island belongs to the latter category and is surely one of the best places we stayed in Australia. It is located in American River, a small town on the east end of the island near the ferry station. The house is high on a hill overlooking the bay of the town. There are directions to get there from the village so it doesn´t take you too much time to get there. It is run by a lovely local couple and the simple breakfast is homemade and absolutely delicious. The only room that they rent is almost an independent housing unit. It has a living room, terrace and private pool. We would really love to stay there for a longer season. It was a pity that we could only stay for one night.
The new hostel in Apollo Bay is part of the Hostelling International chain, or YHA in Australia. The hostel features high quality conveniences, a well equipped kitchen, and very nice reading and TV areas. However, it lacks the friendly charm of the Apollo Bay Backpackers. Like all YHA hostels, you get a discount of at least 10% when you present your membership card. It's 1 minute walk from the beach and the bus stop, and parking is available. You have to pay for Internet, like throughout the rest of Australia.
I stayed a night here because the YHA Hostel was full. The apollo bay bakcpackers hostel is well located and has a great atmosphere. It has a family feel to it because it is a house, and it is very easy to socialize here. Cooking is done in the homely kitchen and the bedrooms are fairly spacious. I enjoyed the cool and pleasant atmosphere and then the following night I went to the Eco Beach Hostel.
It is part of the YHA Hostel Hostelling International network. Because I was left without a bed for not reserving on the Railway I had to stay two nights here. It is a gigantic hostel, one of the biggest in the world with over 500 bed. It was so big and impersonal for my taste, but it is a place that has everything, a pool, bar, restaurant, many TV rooms and a big kitchen, travel agency, and is situated perfectly. But the price is the most expensive in the whole country. It wasn´t the best place for me if you are a traveller traveling by yourself.
