All I can say is that this camp is great. It is located in the lagoon of Xakanaxa, in a beautiful setting, and the hotel staff are all so wonderful, making you a very happy participant in all of the events. After dinner all guests that choose to go along with the guides and the direction we met at the camp fire for a drink and chat until time to go to sleep. The common areas are very well maintained, and it is a totally cozy camp. The meals are phenomenal. The stores are perfect, nicely decorated, and clean. I loved staying here. In this camp, the bathroom is separated from the bedroom, a bathroom that has nothing to envy to any hotel. In the back of the room is a door leading to a terrace which is fine, just watching and listening (it is very important to hear, even if it seems silly) there are noises around you. The camp also has a small pool, more than enough to take a dip and cool off with a drink fridge so you do not have to get up and get her. You can let you have dirty clothes in the morning and evening when you come back from safari laundered in your bed (included) Also included in price are drinks, water, beer, wine .... And you can have as much as you want.
This camp belongs to the same company as Camp Moremi ([poi = 59686] camp-moremi [/ poi]), Delta Safaris. It is very similar in common areas and shops. The only difference is that in this camp the bathroom is inside the room, but the decor and facilities are very similar. I have to say that the staff are lovely and make your stay super nice. It also has a pool. Drinks are also included in the price and, as in Camp Moremi, included in the price, Laundry service. The laundry is important, since there is a weight limit on flights so you don't want to bring too much luggage.
Old Bridge Backpackers is actually more than just a campsite. You can rent small or large tents there (small for 60 pula (€ 6) night, with mattress, blanket, and pillows. But they also have small and tight bedrooms for 80 Pula (8 €). The larger ones have everything you could possibly want-even electricity! has built toilets and showers in a maze of reeds and homeless. So you shower with warm water, but outdoors, very cool. That's not even considering the gorgeous views of the stars and the night skies. At slow here do not need to go to the service with the book. has bar restaurant, quite lively, especially at weekends. Occasionally organize culinary events. Small pool, common kitchen (it is rather small).'ll organize it you need at reasonable prices. The location, on the edge of a sleeve Okavango Delta, is hard to beat. The campsite is only 20 minutes away by minibus (3pulas = 0.30 €), which leaves you in the road, one kilometer. From goat path, or 10 minutes (long) ride (30 pula = 3 €). The location is what makes him a little uncomfortable, yet adds to the charm. It's another great choice. PS: I have more pictures of the housing itself.
In Kasane Forest Reserve, only minutes from the entrance of the Chobe Natural Park. This is an "average" camping site compared to others in Botswana. We had booked into a hotel called "Chobe Marina", but had problems and we had to move, the common areas are nice but the tents were a bit basic. The tent is spacious and inside there is another tent that is the bathroom, not bad. There is also a safe, best used as the tent doors have no lock (it can lock only from the inside). The staff are very nice and are continually talking to you to make you feel at home. By the way, it is the only camp we have been to with Internet access so if you go and want to send a message ... The food is very good, all great. By the way also one of the few camps where you have to pay to drink (any drink, water, beer ...)
I recommend the country and the city, where you can make a flight around the Okavango Delta and look as the river empties into the Kalahari Desert. It is the only delta that runs into the ocean. The beauty of this can be seen from a much greater height in the plane, since that way you will see the Delta and Moremi animals. The campground has an original hotel, clean and friendly. The store house is lovely, and it has all the amenities needed, beds with mosquito nets, toilets and showers. They are very elevated and separated from each other, so you have privacy. The place is very quiet and has a restaurant and pool, what more could you ask for. It is perfect for relaxing. it is one of my favorites in my memory that I now share with you
The Gaborone Sun hotel is the most expensive hotel in the city, but for a 4 or 5 star hotel the price is fairly reasonable. It cost us 110 euros for a double room with breakfast in November. It has parking and is well located. The complimentary breakfast is good. The only thing to criticize was the sink, because for a 5 star hotel it was not great, but it wasn´t bad.
Of our entire trip through Botswana and northern South Africa, this was undoubtedly the best accommodation for money. Walter, the owner, is such a great guy, and we had an aboslutely fantastic stay. He also organizes logistics for visiting Moremi. No doubt, if I had known we would have done it, because in Maun they are incompetent in organizing visits to Moremi. Tours operated by Water Lily Lodge: Boating safari sunset and morning and afternoon both highly recommended and very affordable. Without hesitation, again, I say Water Lily Lodge is the best place to stay. Ah! Walter is a football fan and if you are Barcelona fans you will get along very well.
Accommodation in Africa is expensive, because luxury travel has only recently become popular here. In Gaborone, we found a little hotel which was only about 25 € per night. The rooms were not exactly pretty, but it was clean and comfortable. In addition, you can book rooms online.
GABORONE MONDIOR Hotel is in the city of Gaborone, Botswana and 9 miles from the airport and Cape Town. As a four star hotel it offers tourists elegance and a high level of service. Their modernized African style creates an atmosphere of oneness with nature that makes you feel welcome to stay in one of its 67 rooms over one floor.
