I am a frequent customer of the hostel, I have always received first-class attention. It has all the basic facilities, and is very efficient and professional. They make me feel at home, give me all the confidence which makes me feel safe. Therefore I recommend to those who are visiting Quito staying at the hostel is in the old city center. The old center is a different experience. I've always liked being in a place where I'm filled with emotions, but also this is a modern city and for those who like that kind of fun it is very close. I personally like the old city because you live in a world of the past with the old architecture, and more than that I'm a fan of Ecuadorian culture.
A good option if you're looking for cheap accommodation in Quito. It is in a quiet area, very close to the Mariscal district (the district of restaurants, bars, etc). All rooms have a private bath, and are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, and the owner, Elena, who previously worked in the ministry of tourism, is always ready to help with anything you need. It was a pleasure to spend time chatting with her.
I arrived a month ago at Hostal Jhomana because a friend recommended it to a friend. I looked for info on the internet and found that it had Swedish owners, and that it was well located and had good references. This helped me plan my trip to Ecuador and South America. Patrick the owner recommended to me places known only to the locals. Everyone who works there is great and the rooms are fine and most importantly clean. The location is very good, 15 min to historical center and 20 to the airport. La Plaza Foch, where it all happens, is 6 or 7 blocks from Jhomana. The experience was good and that's why I recommend it.
I was here along with two friends for the first and last days of our visit to wonderful Ecuador. It was like being at home. The owners cannot do enough and they take care to keep you comfortable. The room was very spacious, the bathroom maybe a little small but we barely noticed thanks to the rest of the service. Breakfast is enough to start the day: fruit, juice, eggs, bread, cereal, yoghurt, coffee. I quite liked the location: Florida, a quiet neighborhood from which you can walk to dinner. I have only words of thanks to the owners: thank you for your service and for caring. Highly recommended!
Community Hostel People are the most friendly, great, and helpful in all the places I've seen. They cook dinner and breakfast. Their food is amazing and does not cost much. They know everything I need to know. The hostel is a house of a friend more than a hostel. Look at the web site! I love Community Hostel.
The Hotel Plaza Grande has a great location right in the Plaza de la Independencia, the city's central square. The spot was originally home to the Guarderas family, and it's a wonderful location which offers a truly breathtaking view of the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the old domes of ancient churches, and the Municipal Palace. Yes, it's a luxury hotel with a rather exclusive clientele, but you can always just go for a coffee.
It bills itself as a hostel, but it's actually a beautiful boutique hotel in Mariscal, the neighbourhood which boasts the best nightlife in the city. Despite this, the hotel has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere, making it ideal for a rest. It has a beautiful garden and a charming living room with a fireplace, ideal for reading or chatting with the owners (a couple, English and Italian) or other travelers. The rooms, some with a small private garden, are very comfortable and pretty. The staff are friendly, and there are luxury hotel services, like breakfast any time you want, even in the middle of the night. The restaurant serves authentic Italian food - delicious! Breakfast is spectacular, with fresh ingredients, and delicious artisan bread.
If you are looking for a good place to sleep and wind down after touring the city of Quito you can go to this hotel restaurant, located in a very sublime colonial house and completely surrounded by colourful trees in bloom. When we walked through the small garden behind the large wrought iron gate, to the left is a decent library which you only see in old movies. On the right, the small dining room, which offers several small and typical Ecuadorian gourmet meals. And opposite us, the big wooden staircase leads to the spacious, comfortable rooms of the hotel part of Cafe Culture. A must in the capital!
Backpackers Quito is perfect if you want to stay in a lively part of town near bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Located just blocks from the famous Plaza Foch, the hostel has private rooms and dormitories and breakfast is included in the rate. The hostel also has wi-fi and a computer are. Ideal place to stay during your visit to the Ecuadorian capital!

The Grand Hotel Mercure Quito 4 (Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador) is located in Rock 653 and Avenida Amazonas, Quito-Ecuador and is located 1 km from the house of Culture and 4 km from San Francisco. The Villa Colonna Bed & Breakfast has 6 rooms, with high ceilings, polished wooden floors and elegant bathrooms, adding a different style to the hotel. The rooms are equipped with a living room, gas fireplace, bed, cable TV, Internet, Wi-Fi, bathrooms with showers, luxurious linen, cotton bathrobes, hair dryer, shoe cleaning kit and umbrella.
A shame, the Plaza Sucre hotel is fantastically located but they don't seem to think that good service is important. The room is very noisy, and if you complain, they will just say that the hotel is an old building, and they can't do anything.
The Cotococha Lodge boasts an unbeatable location in the Amazon jungle, facing the Napo River and only 200 kms from Quito International Airport. Explore the spectacular surroundings through exciting hiking trails and roads and enjoy a number of activities and outdoor sports that are offered from the hotel reception.
It's easy to find fairly cheap places to stay in Quito. There are options for all tastes and budgets. There are Quito hotels of all categories, from bare bones hostels to luxury resorts. Be aware when you book that you must add $2 to the price, a rate corresponding to the so-called "Fee for Facilities and Tourism Services". This specific rate applies to each room and per night for lodging in Quito.
Hostels are a popular cheap type of Quito accommodations. Most of them are pretty well appointed and offer breakfast. Inns and spas have also become fashionable in the capital. The inns are often run by Ecuadorian families offering guests who want a personal touch as their answer to the question of where to stay in Quito. Spas are a type of Quito lodging for which demand has grown in recent years. It is a more exclusive and expensive service, but you can search for Quito hotel deals to make your stay a little more affordable.
But certainly the most popular budget Quito lodging has to be bed & breakfast inns in the area of La Mariscal.
